CAPE TOWN - The military will have its usual presence at the State of the Nation Address on Thursday night.
This is despite a request from the DA to cut out their parades in honour of their fallen brothers in the DRC.
But, National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza says the presence of their comrades is a fitting tribute.
“I think for all of us it is important to pay our condolence to fallen soldiers and appreciate the role they were there to play," she said.
