WASHINGTON - A South African man has been arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents (ICE) for multiple counts.
In a post shared on its official X account, ICE described Jacob Lodevickus Jasne Van Rensburg as a “criminal illegal alien from South Africa.”
His picture was posted alongside those of other offenders arrested by ICE in recent days.
The post read: When you see videos of anti-ICE agitators swarming our officers and agents in Minneapolis, MN, just know…this is who they’re trying to protect.”

“Below are some of the WORST of the worst we’ve arrested and taken out of MN neighbourhoods to protect American families,” read the post.
Janse Van Rensburg faces charges of assault, aggravated assault with a weapon and Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
Officials identified him as an undocumented immigrant at the time of his arrest.
In recent months, ICE has come under fire for its shock-and-awe tactics of publicising raids in major cities and footage of shackled migrants being loaded onto deportation flights.
