SRC, UFS reach deal on provisional registrations

QWAQWA - Free State University and the SRC have reached an agreement on provisional registration.

The institution has agreed to phase out the system over the next two years.

Students went on the rampage after an announcement it was to be scrapped next year.

The system allows indebted students and those without sufficient registration fees to continue studying.

The violent protests saw on-campus activities halted and thousands of students forced out of residences.
