State of education | Concerns over protests affecting exams

JOHANNESBURG - As the Gauteng Education Department counts down to the start of the matric exams, it will be hoping any service delivery protests that take place don’t spill over into schools.

MEC Matome Chiloane was providing updates on online admissions for next year and the 2025 matric exams.

While the department tries to stay one step ahead of service delivery protests before the exams, an increase in school-related demonstrations is also a factor.
