BLOEMFONTEIN - Five years after his arrest for corruption, former Free State premier Ace Magashule finally has his day in court.
The R250-million asbestos trial is underway in the Free State High Court, where all the accused have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Magashule and all the other accused have pleaded not guilty to all charges put to them.
The National Prosecuting Authority seems confident it’s got a winning case in this asbestos matter.

According to the prosecution, if found guilty, the accused persons face up to 15 years in jail.
But Magashule predicts that in the end, the NPA will be embarrassed.
The trial continues on Wednesday.
