DURBAN - Government is being urged to speed up an audit of private scholar transport.
The KwaZulu-Natal Transport Department has announced the audit, starting in the Umgungundlovu District.
A number of deadly scholar transport crashes have occurred in this region in recent weeks.

The department is set to announce on Friday the measures put in place following the spike in crashes.
Friday’s briefing will also detail the department's plans to address other violations impacting its operations and preparedness for the rainy season.
