Steenhuisen gives Ramaphosa ultimatum over alleged corrupt ministers

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The party is demanding an explanation for the dismissal of Deputy Trade, Industry and Competition Minister, Andrew Whitfield.

It claims that Whitfield's removal from cabinet is unjust and argues similar accountability has not been applied to ANC ministers implicated in corruption.

Whitfield's dismissal is believed to be linked to an unauthorised trip to the United States.

As a DA Member of Parliament, He was serving in President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Government of National Unity.
