JOHANNESBURG - Social grant beneficiaries have until 31 August to migrate to the new black card.
Postbank says more than 1.8 million beneficiaries have already migrated.
It is urging those who have not yet done so to act quickly.
Postbank says additional measures have been put in place at card replacement sites, to manage the expected increase in beneficiaries in the final days.

The card migration process is free of charge and beneficiaries are required to have a valid or temporary ID.
Cards can be collected from any province, even if that is not the province in which a person’s SASSA grant was approved.
To migrate from an old SASSA Gold Card to the new Postbank Black Card, take your valid South African ID (or temporary ID) and your current gold card to a designated card replacement site, major retailer (such as Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, Boxer, Pick n Pay, or Spar), or participating Postbank site.
