JOHANNESBURG - The South African Police Service (SAPS) says the Gauteng Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) has arrested suspects linked to two separate political murder investigations.
Two suspects, including the alleged hitman, have been arrested for the July 2025 murder of ANC Ward councillor Thabang Masemola in Mamelodi East.

Police have also arrested three suspects in connection with the recent murder, kidnapping and robbery of EFF member Aaron Makola.
They are expected to appear in the Mamelodi and Delmas Magistrates' Courts this week.
