PAARL - The Western Cape Health Department says only a small section of Paarl Hospital was burnt in Tuesday morning's fire.
The blaze was quickly contained, and no injuries were reported.
The affected area and nearby sections were evacuated, with patients safely relocated.
Authorities are assessing the extent of damage.
Hospital staff, fire services and law enforcement have been praised for their swift response.
