CAPE TOWN - A fire on Table Mountain has been contained.
It was reported near Boyes Drive in Peck’s Valley on Sunday morning.
SANParks, Volunteer Wildfire Services, and the Cape Town Fire & Rescue are still on site.
The fire was driven by strong, changing winds that complicated efforts of ground crews to battle the flames.
The public is strongly urged to avoid the surrounding trails until the area is declared safe.
Boyes Drive remains closed to the public.
