JOHANNESBURG - The taxi industry in Gauteng has now racked up 40 taxi-related attacks this year.
This follows the killing of ARMSTA Chairperson, Molefe Victor Moekeletsi and his bodyguard.
His death comes a month after the burial of Soweto taxi boss, Thami Moya.

Moekelets was ambushed in Marlboro, Johannesburg.
Four other protectors were injured, along with two civilians whose vehicle was hit when Moekeletsi attempted to flee his attackers.
His family says this was not the first attempt on his life.
The motive for the shooting is unclear, as ARMSTA had recently made peace with rival association, Alexandra Taxi Association.
No arrests have been made.
Police have appealed to the taxi industry to find other ways to address their differences.
