MAMELODI - Gauteng police are investigating two counts of murder following the stabbing of 14-year-old twins in Mamelodi West in Tshwane.
The mother of the two boys found their bodies inside a bedroom. They had multiple stab wounds on Friday afternoon.
The motive is unclear at this stage. No arrests have been made.
Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said they were investigating.
"Indeed the police in Mamelodi West, they are investigating a double murder after 14-year-old twin boys were found dead in their house. Unfortunately, this gruesome discovery was made by their mother when he came back from work. At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the incident are a bit unclear, but the district commissioner has established a team of detectives and expect to establish as to what could have happened to that led to this gruesome incident.
"And the police investigations are also currently underway. In cases of murders like this, they will be following up in all the information that we receive in all the leads. You must also remember that we also had our forensic that combed the scene yesterday.
"We will also be looking at the analysis as to what they find. So we will be following up in everything. We are not going to take anything for chance."
