JOHANNESBURG - A suspect linked to the multimillion-rand Tembisa Hospital corruption scandal has been arrested.
The 37-year-old was taken into custody at OR Tambo International Airport after returning from overseas.
The Hawks allege hospital officials colluded with service providers to manipulate procurement processes and avoid formal tenders.
The broader investigation includes allegations of fraud, corruption, forgery, money laundering, and violations of the Public Finance Management Act.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Monday.
