STELLENBOSCH – Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has expressed deep sadness following the passing of midfielder Jayden Adams.
He died just days after returning from the FIFA World Cup.
Broos said he last spoke to Adams when he said his goodbyes when the team was returning to South Africa.
“It’s a very sad day for all of us. Two weeks ago I said goodbye to him and I said ‘see you in September’. Now I will never see him again. It’s a waste. It’s unreal. It’s not fair. Such a young, talented, bright future ahead of him. And now he’s no longer among us,” Broos said.
