Three 11-year-olds come forward following Riverlea High School fire

JOHANNESBURG - Three 11-year-old boys have come forward following Riverlea High School fire. 

Police are now questioning the minors and their families. 

The fire broke out on 27 April evening, just six days before schools were set to reopen for the second term.

The fire that erupted destroyed 11 classrooms including furniture inside.

Four of them were actively being used by Grade 8 learners, while the remainder were unoccupied. 

Additionally the entire boys’ toilet block was destroyed in the fire, affecting all male pupils at the school.
