Three dead after shooting at Cape Town taxi rank

CAPE TOWN - Three people have been killed in a mass shooting at Delft taxi rank in the Western Cape.

The incident occurred early on Thursday on Delft Main Road.

It's believed a Quantum taxi pulled up and gunmen opened fire. Two men died at the scene, and a third died later in hospital.

They were aged 58, 55 and 38.

Authorities said the attack may be linked to ongoing tensions in the taxi industry.

The provincial serious and violent crimes unit has been roped in to investigate.
