PRETORIA - The Hawks have arrested three senior National Department of Health officials on fraud and theft charges.
The suspects, aged 46 to 67, appeared briefly in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court earlier.

Their arrest follows a 2023 investigation into a tender worth over one million rand, improperly awarded to a service provider.
The Hawks say one of the suspects’ companies also faces charges.
A fourth suspect and the service provider have yet to be arrested.
