JOHANNESBURG - It was a heartbreaking moment for the family of missing runner Elizabeth Moselakgomo as they identified her body on Monday afternoon.
But the bodies of three women remain unidentified at the mortuary.
Gauteng Health Department's spokesperson, Steve Mabona, said the identification process could take time, particularly where bodies are badly injured or decomposed.

Families are involved in the process, with further testing carried out where visual identification is not possible.
"Three are not identified. It's only one that has been identified, which we have released to the family," Mabona said.
"So for the three, we are still finalising the process of identification.
"What would that process entail? It entails the members of the family coming to identify, and there's an internal process that we undergo."
There are fears of a possible serial killer targeting women in the Kempton Park area.
