JOHANNESBURG - A Johannesburg travel agent accused of scamming families is back in the Pretoria magistrate’s court to seek bail.
Premila Shunmugam from Silver Touch Events and Travel is accused of fraud worth R5-million.
At least 50 families claim to have deposited cash into her account, but there were no bookings and no flights.
Families have been left devastated as their holiday trips have gone up in smoke.
The state intends to oppose bail.
