JOHANNESBURG - Two more senior SAPS officers have been issued with notices of intent to suspend them.
They must now motivate why they should not be suspended. The suspensions are in relation to their alleged association to alleged underworld figure Vusumuzi "Cat" Matlala.
The two officers, whose names are know to eNCA, were implicated in testimony at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
Earlier this week, four other senior police officials were also served with notices of suspension, as part of a widening probe into the irregular awarding of a multi-million rand police health management contract.
The four officers have already been charged internally, for breaching bid-adjudication committee processes.
