DURBAN - Two suspected armed robbers have been killed in an early morning shootout with KwaZulu-Natal police.
A third suspect was also injured in the exchange of gunfire and thought to have died. However, he later woke up while forensics were taking photographs at the scene. He was rushed to hospital under police guard.
The incident happened at KwaMsane just after midnight on Tuesday.
According to police, they received a report from a man who was robbed by armed suspects in the Hluhluwe policing area. Police managed to track down the vehicle the suspects were travelling in and a gunfight ensued.
Three firearms were discovered at the scene. Police are searching for at least three more suspects.
