JOHANNESBURG - The case against former Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe’s son Bellarmine has been postponed to 17 March.
Mugabe and his co-accused Tobias Matonhodze made a brief appearance in the Alexandra magistrate's court on Wednesday.
While it was expected that the pair would put in an application for bail, their legal representatives want the matter to be referred to trial court for a plea.
Mugabe and Matonhodze face charges of attempted murder, pointing a firearm and violating South Africa’s immigration laws.
The charges stem from a shooting at Mugabe's plush Hyde Park home that left a 23-year-old gardener critically injured.
