CAPE TOWN - Political fixer Brown Mogotsi has arrived in Parliament ahead of his testimony before the SAPS Ad Hoc Committee.
Mogotsi initially refused to appear in person, citing safety issues.
He was scheduled to appear last month.
Mogotsi arrived in Parliament clad in a black and white blazer and sunglasses, surrounded by security.
Speaking to media outside Parliament, he said he was ready to "go through the fire".
“This is a process where one must be grilled. For meat to be nice, it must go through the fire. It’s unfortunate that cross examination should unfold when you appear before a committee,” Mogotsi said.
Asked what changed his mind about appearing before the committee, he said the necessary arrangements were made.
The North West businessman wanted Parliament to pay for his private security.
He’s previously made several unsubstantiated claims, even calling Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi a CIA agent.
MPs will get a chance to grill him on allegations that he infiltrated the criminal justice system.
