JOHANNESBURG - The case against a South African Police Service forensic laboratory captain has been postponed.
Laurance Makgotloe made a brief appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Monday facing charges of defeating the ends of justice.
The case was postponed to 2 June for a formal bail application.
Makgotloe was arrested on Friday at his residence in Pretoria following investigations by the Madlanga Commission’s Recommendations Task Team.
His arrest to allegations of defeating the ends of justice in several high-profile murder cases currently under investigation, as well as evidence before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
