JOHANNESBURG - Sentencing arguments against convicted child rapist and murderer Amber-Lee Hughes have been adjourned.
The 26-year-old appeared in the High Court in Johannesburg on Tuesday. She was expected to take the stand, but her defence says they have not been able to consult with her.
In 2025, the High Court convicted Hughes of raping and killing four-year-old Nada-Jane Challita.
She drowned the little girl in a bathtub at her home in 2023.
