UPDATE: Fannie Nkosi case postponed to September

PRETORIA - Suspended crime intelligence sergeant Fannie Nkosi’s case has been postponed to 15 September.

His lawyer has told the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court that he needs the documents early to study the evidence and consult with Nkosi in prison.

Nkosi faces charges including theft, fraud and defeating the ends of justice.

He Is alleged to have acted as a middleman between senior police officers and criminal kingpins, linked to the so-called Big Five Cartel.

He has been linked to Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala, Katiso Molefe and late taxi boss Mswazi Jothan Msibi.
