UPDATE: Human trafficking case against KZN businessman postponed

DURBAN - The case against a controversial KwaZulu-Natal businessman who has been arrested on charges of human trafficking and kidnapping has been postponed.

The 65-year-old man, whose name has come up at both the Madlanga Commission and Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee, made a brief appearance in the Durban Magistrate's court on Wednesday.

He was arrested at his home in Umhlanga on Tuesday in an operation led by the Hawks in KwaZulu-Natal.

The case has been postponed to 25 August for a bail application. He will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
