JOHANNESBURG - A fire that broke out near the M1 South highway in the Joburg CBD on Thursday has been put out according to the City of Joburg emergency services.
The blaze was noticed under a bridge and affected two lanes on the highway.
Motorists were advised to use alternative routes.

Johannesburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said the teams are completing damping down operations and extinguishing hotspots.
Johannesburg City Power and public safety representives will then conduct further assessments.
