ROODEPOORT - Murder-accused Tiffany Meek has been denied bail.
Magistrate Anneline Africa said Meek failed to satisfy the court that she discharged the onus in proving on a balance of probabilities that the interest of justice permits her release from detention.
The 31-year-old is charged with the murder of her son, Jayden-Lee Meek, in May.
She also faces a charge of obstructing and defeating the ends of justice.
The child’s bruised body was found outside their Fleurhof flat just a day after Meek reported him missing.
The state says it has prima facie evidence linking her to the boy’s death.
But Meek claims she’s being framed.
