WELLS ESTATE - An American missionary rescued from kidnappers this week was absent from the Easter service at his church in the Eastern Cape.
His missionary partner says Pastor Josh Sullivan is still traumatised by the abduction.
He'd been held by kidnappers for almost a week, but was freed unharmed by police on Tuesday following a shootout that left three suspects dead.
"I have seen them a couple of times, but just to a small extent," said Brandon Byerly.
"And as far as the family goes, they have a story to tell. And in their time, we want to respect them, and let them tell their story in their time."
