PRETORIA - Eight years after VBS Mutual Bank was placed under curatorship following the alleged looting of nearly R2-billion, former ANC Limpopo treasurer Danny Msiza and 12 co-accused are appearing in the High Court in Pretoria.
They are facing charges linked to the alleged looting of VBS Mutual Bank.
The bank was placed under curatorship in March 2018.
Among those implicated are former KPMG partner Sipho Malaba and former Vhavenda king Toni Mphephu Ramabulana.
Brian Shivambu, the brother of former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu, has also been implicated in the case.
Former VBS chairperson Tshifhiwa Matodzi was identified as a central figure in the looting.
Matodzi is now serving a 15-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to corruption, fraud and money laundering.
