Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala
JOHANNESBURG - Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala’s lawyers have requested for a postponement of his testimony before the Ad Hoc Committee.
This plea comes after concerns over adverse conditions in prison as well as his health and mental capacity.
Matlala was meant to give his testimony at the Kgosi Mampuru C-Max prison before the U-turn.
The entrepreneur and alleged criminal kingpin is currently behind bars for an alleged hit on his ex-girlfriend.

His connections and influence have been in the spotlight at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry and Ad Hoc Committee probing allegations of rot and political interference within the justice system.
To this day testimonies from both the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry and Ad Hoc Committee running parallel to each other have already implicated Matlala in alleged corruption within the SAPS.
