JOHANNESBURG - Controversial businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala is taking his fight for freedom to the High Court in Johannesburg.
Matlala has remained in custody after the Alexandra magistrate’s court denied him bail.
He is accused of masterminding the attempted murder of his then-girlfriend in 2023.

The tenderpreneur faces charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, fraud, and money laundering.
He has also been heavily implicated in the alleged crime and infiltration of the SAPS.
