PRETORIA - Electricity Minister Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa will provide an update on the state of the national power grid.
Eskom implemented peak-time Stage 2 power cuts on Tuesday and they remain in effect until Thursday.
The utility says the decision was driven by the delayed return of generation units following breakdowns.
A total of 3,120 megawatts were lost as a result.
Additional delays in bringing units back online from scheduled maintenance are further straining the grid.
