CAPE TOWN - The Impeachment Committee is meeting to get legal advice on President Cyril Ramaphosa's court bid to halt its proceedings.
Parliament's Legal Services Office will outline the implications of the application to interdict the committee.
Ramaphosa approached the Western Cape High Court for the interdict, while he challenges the Phala Phala report.
He argues that allowing the inquiry to proceed before the review is heard could cause irreparable harm.
Ramaphosa is challenging the report on several grounds, including that it exceeded its mandate, relied on hearsay and untested evidence, and reached irrational conclusions not supported by facts.
