PRETORIA - The defence in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial will call a new witness to the stand.
The defence wrapped up the evidence of the man police say led them to a breakthrough in the case.
Police claim Absalom Zungu made a statement in 2019 linking accused 1, Muzi Sibiya, and accused 2, Bongani Ntanzi, to the 2014 murder.
However, in a dramatic turnaround, he denies ever having made that statement.
He claims his son, Constable Sizwe Zungu, a key state witness, fabricated the statement with police.
