Water crisis | Komani residents vow not to vote

KOMANI - Some residents of Komani are questioning why they should vote in next year's local elections when all they get from politicians are empty promises.

Their hopelessness comes from constant water outages in the Chris Hani District.

But humanitarian aid organisation, Gift of the Givers, continues working to ease the hardships in Eastern Cape municipalities.

Water cuts have plagued Komani and its surrounding areas for months, and authorities say high demand, stemming from a growing population, is exacerbating the issue.
