“We are not involved in drugs” - Kunene rejects claims against McKenzie

JOHANNESBURG - The Patriotic Alliance has rejected claims linking its leader, Gayton McKenzie, to the drug trade.

The allegations surfaced in Parliament during the SAPS Ad Hoc Committee hearing.

KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi was questioned about a letter from an inmate.

The letter claims the prisoner was moved to a high-security unit after alleging he had recordings linking McKenzie to drug dealers and money.

Kunene stated that neither he nor McKenzie is involved in drugs.

"I want to put on record, Gayton McKenzie is not involved in drugs, I am not involved in drugs," Kunene said.
