MAMELODI - The family of the Mamelodi twins, who were stabbed to death, is struggling to come to terms with the murders.
The family cannot figure out what the motive could be.
However, the family does not believe it was a robbery gone wrong because only the boys’ phones and a PS4 were taken.
The boys’ aunt, Kagiso Mogale, said the family have a lot of questions.
“It's heartbreaking. We're all devastated. She's not doing well. She's always crying. We are all shocked. Why would someone come in? And then we don't understand what really happened. The perpetrator, we don't know if he was alone or not. We don't know. And then they only took their phones and their PS4 only. And then all the other things that were still in the house, there was nothing missing beside those."
Mogale said the mother saw blood on the kitchen floor.
“When she got into the kitchen, she saw blood on the floor. And then when she went to the bedroom, that's when she discovered. But later then, when she uncovered the other twin, he was covered with a blanket.
“We believe that this is not robbery, because there was no forced entry. And then I think the neighbours came in just to help her, because we were not close to her. She called me, but then she couldn't talk. And then there was this lady. Then she told me that we must quickly rush.
