JOHANNESBURG - Heavy thunderstorms are expected to persist in several provinces from this weekend until Wednesday.
The SA Weather Service has issued a warning for road users, saying downpours may result in flash floods, flooded roads and hazardous driving conditions.

This as many holidaymakers will be returning home this weekend.
Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State will be mostly affected.
SA Weather Service forecaster Lehlohonolo Thobela says damaging winds can also be expected.
