JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning for disruptive rain in parts of the Western Cape and Northern Cape.
Rainfall is expected to cause flooding and disruption from this afternoon until tomorrow evening.
A cut-off low-pressure system is also expected to bring scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers, which could affect essential services including water and electricity supplies, as well as schools.
The weather service warns that homes in some communities could be destroyed while bridges, roads and mountain passes may be closed.
