PRETORIA - Former President Jacob Zuma says he is not liable for the R28-million paid out towards his legal fees.
Zuma has argued that he cannot pay following unconstitutional decisions made by the state attorneys.
The court battle follows a 2021 Supreme Court of Appeal ruling that Zuma was not entitled to taxpayer-funded legal support and must reimburse the state.
The Presidency argues it's too late for Zuma to cry foul and he must pay up.
Judgment in the matter has been reserved.
