PIETERMARITZBURG - Former president Jacob Zuma and French arms company Thales continue their quest to evade prosecution.
They're back in the High Court in Pietermaritzburg.
The court will hear their application for leave to appeal a judgment in June that dismissed their latest attempt to have all charges dropped.
The NPA is expected to argue why the trial should proceed.
These arguments will be heard over two days.
Zuma and Thales are facing a string of corruption and money laundering charges, dating back over decades.
The former statesman has tried every trick in the book to frustrate the case, employing Stalingrad tactics.
He has tried numerous times to have Prosecutor Billy Downer removed, citing bias.
