JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress's financial woes are far from over.

On Monday, the sheriff knocked at the party's Luthuli House headquarters in town, in an attempt to attach its assets over an unpaid election campaign bill. It owes Ezulweni Investments over 100-million rand for work done leading up to the 2019 elections.

But the ANC disputes this, and argues that the contract awarded to Ezulweni to provide posters, was fraudulent.

The matter has been through the lower courts, with rulings favouring Ezulweni, but could end up with the Constitutional Court for arbitration.
