JOHANNESBURG - According to a global survey, South Africa is one of the most mentally distressed country's in the world. 

The 2023 Mental State of the World Report surveyed over 500,000 respondents across 71 nations in nine regions.

South Africa is one the lowest ranked nations in terms of the mental health score. Only the United Kingdom and Brazil are worse.
