PRETORIA - The cross-examination of Legal Practice Council official Khulani Sambo continues in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
On Monday, Sambo told the court that the lawyer who represented accused number two, Bongani Ntanzi, during his alleged June 2020 confession, was a registered practicing attorney at the time.
Ntanzi, howerver, denies knwoing attorney Ntokozo Mjiyako - despite a sworn statement from the Boksburg Magistrate's Court confirming that Mjiyako acted on his behalf when the confession was allegedly made.
Sambo's testimony comes as the cross-examination of lead investigator Bongani Gininda has been put on hold to allow the state time to provide Advocate Charles Mnisi with vehicle tracking records.
