WATCH | 2024 Elections | Expats prepare to cast their vote this weekend

CENTURION - The IEC has briefed the media on its general preparedness for elections. 

With just two weeks until we head to the 29 May polls, the IEC has made special provisions for voters abroad.

IEC chief electoral officer Sy Mamabolo says South Africans in nine countries will cast their ballots on Friday, while those in dozens of other countries will vote on Saturday.

He says 76,000 expats are expected to vote.

With just over two weeks until voting starts in the 2024 elections, political parties are pulling out all the stops to ensure they win you over.

South Africans living abroad and registered to vote will make their mark this weekend.

The out-of-country vote is scheduled to take place in various diplomatic missions around the world from Friday to Sunday.

The main event takes place in South Africa on 29 May. 

The United Kingdom has the highest number of registered voters.
