RHODES – What was meant to be a short time away from home for an East London family has resulted in an extended stay at snow-capped mountains in the hamlet of Rhodes.
Ainsley Sumner and his family had planned a little getaway at Tiffindell, but roads have been closed because of the snow.
“We will be stranded here for another day or two. It is nice and cold.
“We will have to wait it out. We will stay overnight to assess again before hitting the road back to East London where we are from.
“There is no point in trying to drive now as it will get dangerous,” Sumner said.
