JOHANNESBURG - The state has failed dismally in proving its case according to Bruce Nimmerhoudt's lawyer who says the evidence presented in court was nothing more than mere opinions from witnesses.

The Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court is expected to deliver a verdict on his application for discharge.

The Patriotic Alliance's West Rand leader has been on trial since July on charges of terrorism and inciting public violence. The state has now closed its case.
Without wasting any time, Nimmerhoudt's lawyer launched a discharge application.
The state maintains Nimmerhoudt has a case to answer for.
Nimmerhoudt will be back in court on Friday.
